On Saturday, September 19th, 2009 I followed @UncleRush suggestions on eating at this Vegan spot called Mangos, on Westheimer and Taft ST. in Houston,TX. It was there where I saw Russell Simmons, chopping it up with his people and enjoying his food, so I needed the scoop. I asked Omar, the owner, whats the deal with The Godfather of Rap being in the building and he told me to head over to the Arena theater at about 2:30PM to hear him speak. I called @DaBonus, one of the bloggers I blog with at my Hip Hop Site, A1HH.COM (A1 Hip Hop) and told him to bring the cam, we made it in to get the speech, on low battery, with our side of the room being ignored when it came to Q & A. All in ALL, a great event brought to Houston to enlighten us, put on by The Brilliant Lecture Series and UNICEF. We managed to get some video, mainly the intro.
