“You got the new Griffeys, I got em” …-My Cousin..
I can remember hearing about Ken Griffey Jr. falling asleep in the club house during one of the games this season and all I could do is laugh. He is one of my all time favorites to play in the MLB, and had some of the dopest Kicks by Nike to ever drop. At least he doesn’t get the steroid star next to his stats, yet I used to hear so much criticism of his body being made of straw, LOL. Nike Salutes him, and I do too. “Thank you Ken Griffey Jr. for 21 years of doing it the right way.”
The LA Dodgers filed a breach of contract suit against Jon Lovitz for three premium seats totaling $95,400, according to the Press-Telegram, citing papers filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
According to the suit, Lovitz purchased three “Dugout Club” seats in March 2008 to cover the 2008-10 seasons, with 3 percent increases for the seats in years two and three. The team said they canceled Lovitz’s seats in April because of non-payment for this year.
The Dodgers are also suing filmmaker Steve Marlton, the Press-Telegram says, for more than $300,000 in unpaid tickets.
NY Daily News is reporting that Jay-Z and David “Big Papi” Ortiz are headed for court behind David’s recent opening of the Forty-Forty Club in the Dominican Republic. David Ortiz is facing a 5 Million Dollar suit behind the naming of his club, the papers were filed on 4/15/2010 in Manhattan Federal Court. People in the Big Apple are convinced that Big Papi is definitely copying the name of the club he has been seen in, at least twice. Maybe it’s just a misunderstanding about how to buy into the joint, on Big Papi’s behalf. Perhaps he thought his pull in the D.R. would get him around these legal problems, since he’s a native and “Big Dog” in the country, and rightfully so.
I just hope it doesn’t get too crazy, since Jay-Z’s business partners, who are co-owners in the 40/40 Club are also Dominican. The club is actually owned by Desiree Gonzalez and Juan “OG Juan” Pérez, and “OG” happens to be best buds with Yankees player Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez, also of Dominican ethnicity. Come on Brothers, get it together !!!!!!! I mean that literally, get it…. Together !!!! I’m sure it can benefit the D.R. with jobs and tourism attraction, so put that bread up on a new joint in D.R., and as often as Jay-Z and Beyonce hit the D.R., I assumed he already opened one there..
