Esquire woman we love – Katy Perry from esquireuk on Vimeo.
From the moment Katy Perry swaggered into the studio for the shoot of our August cover, we could tell it was going to be a special day.
The results speak for themselves, but as an extra treat here’s a behind-the-scenes peek at Perry on shoot, courtesy of photographer and director Yu Tsai.
Watch and listen as Murdoc pieces together the story of Plastic Beach thus far: Why did he choose Plastic Beach as his new HQ? How did 2D end up on the Island? What really happened at the O2 arena rehearsals? And where is Russel and Noodle? It promises to be quite a treat….
DOPE! The Gorillaz are one of my favorites and every so often, I reminisce about sitting at the old job playing that stupid Go Kart game via their website, until time to clock out. Just thought I’d share that along with this iLL short film.

One of the dopest compilations I’ve ever heard ! I got the heads up from @LuckyLefty26 who retweeted the download link earlier. This is a nice eclectic mix that goes well with the “factory party throwing” attempts made by my peers, so I’ll definitely pass this on for some play while we rub elbows with the creative ones. Nice to ride too as well. As the homie D-Plus would call it..”Sunday Music” as well.

Please cop that StyleFREE the EP. I really think he should re-release “I, John” and honestly, if he has..my bad. I just think that albums incredible and wasn’t promoted right due to his absence. One thing I noticed, in his absence, cats get absent minded and it’s time he reminds you that he can still out rhyme you (no verse, or hot line from myself, just the facts). I swear I’m a fan of lyricism, but when i started to really take note of the complications involved in penning something with melody, John Forte helped me get clarification on the process. I noticed on “I,John” that he blended the writing process so well and I’ve heard people like R-Kelly and Andre 3000 do the same. You can easily take some of these melodic cuts and really put some fire behind them to create that spit.
The Living Legend known as Prince and his homie, the great Larry Graham set it off at BB Kings, and it seems like they liked it..! I can’t wait to get it together and treat my self to some of these pop up displays of greatness along the road of life. I’m at a fork, but I’ll still blog it out and show yall and myself what were missing. We Should Be There.
